The location of the course at the foot of a mountain is without a doubt the spot in which Robert Trent Jones Snr. was inspired in terms of the design of the course. Surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, the prestigious designer took advantage of the location in order to add beauty and movement to the 18 freeways of the course. He also managed to combine perfectly the sloping freeways with water obstacles and 90 sand traps. The bunkers are strategically positioned at the end of the freeway and surrounding the entrance of each green. The greens are extremely fast and demanding and are on ground level. For this reason the "El Bosque" club, with a par 72 and 6249 metres of longitude, is considered an ideal course for hosting high level competitions. The course is a technical journey where the choice of the correct club is fundamental if we wish the end result to be a success.
